BENTE COLDING-JØRGENSEN

Graduated
from The Royal Academy of Music, Copenhagen, as a choir conductor, singer and solfege
pedagogue, after studies with Margrethe Enevold, Birgit Bastian, Frans
Rasmussen and Dan-Olof Stenlund.
Bente
Colding-Jørgensen is vocal instructor and choirmaster for the boys of the
Copenhagen Royal Chapel Choir at Copenhagen Municipal Choir School, Sankt Annæ
Gymnasium, since 1997. In 1999 she was appointed director of The Childrens
Choir of The Royal Academy of Music and teacher of childrens choir conducting.
She has given childrens choir courses at the Aalborg Music Academy and
Vestervig Church Music School.
From
August 2004 Bente Colding-Jørgensen was teaching music at the Teachers'
Training School of Greenland, situated in the capital Nuuk, on a leave of one
or more years from Copenhagen. June 2007 she is back in Copenhagen, continuing
as director of The Childrens Choir of The Royal Academy of Music.
Bente
Colding-Jørgensen has been conductor and director of theatre music in
"Bugsy Malone" at Privatteatret, Copenhagen, 1995, and
"Infernis", Kulturartisterne, Herlev, and vocal instructor in two
musicals at Amagerscenen, Copenhagen, in 1994 and 1995. She has been working as
vocal instructor and assistant director in tv and radio recordings, and as
choir director in a cd production.
July
2003 she took 2. prize in The International Choir Competition of Preveza,
Greece, with The Childrens Choir of The Royal Academy of Music
